What this address is for¶
Corrections. If an article states something wrong, send the page URL, the claim, and — if you have one — the source that contradicts it. I aim to reply within 7 days and to correct or annotate the page once the point is confirmed. Substantive corrections are noted on the page rather than made silently.
Editorial questions. Why an article covers something a certain way, what a term means, or a mechanism you think deserves a page.
Reuse and quotation. Short quotation with attribution is fine without asking. Republishing a substantial part of an article requires written permission — email with the page and where it would appear.
Privacy requests. Access, correction or deletion of personal data. Details are in the Privacy Policy; requests are answered within 30 days.
What I cannot help with¶
I do not assess whether a specific food is safe to eat, diagnose spoilage from a photograph, provide laboratory testing, or give regulatory determinations for a product or market. Those questions need the actual sample, and the competent authority in your market.
If you are asking whether food is safe: if there is any doubt — visible mould, off-odours, damaged packaging, a broken cold chain — discard it and follow your local food safety authority's guidance.
Before you write¶
- A broken link or a page that will not load — tell me the URL, it is usually quick to fix.
- A citation that does not say what the article claims — this matters more than anything else on the site; send it and it gets checked.
